Marketing & Sales Coordinator

West Kentucky and Tennessee Telecommunications Cooperative (WK&T) seeks a motivated Marketing & Sales Coordinator.

General Summary:

The Marketing & Sales Coordinator will support the marketing and sales business functions; promote products and services; coordinate outbound call center efforts; assist in creating a sales culture throughout the organization. The Marketing & Sales Coordinator position is important to WK&T to develop and grow our customer base and to further align with the acceleration of growth related to network expansion efforts. The Marketing & Sales Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of marketing and sales including the proofing of marketing materials, promotion of services through advertising, oversight of the day to day activities of the call center, coordination of events/participation in events, maintenance of social media, and maintenance of company website. This position will also be responsible for lead generation and analyzing market data. Multi-tasking in a professional, fast-paced environment is required for this position.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists in the creation of education and awareness campaigns for potential customers.
  • Performs marketing research to plan and implement successful company marketing strategies to promote products and services.
  • Supervises outbound call center efforts, including closing sales opportunities when presented. Regular hours are 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday.  Weekend hours will be scheduled as needed.  All hours are subject to change based on consumer demand and corporate needs.
  • Reviews effective marketing materials including articles, presentations, brochures, press releases, customer newsletters, event announcements, trade show materials, thank-you letters, etc. Proofreads all marketing materials thoroughly to identify and correct any errors.
  • Coordinates with community events, tradeshows, school functions, Chamber of Commerce events, mobile office deployment, etc.
  • Assists and supports the Customer Operations Manager and Director of Sales.
  • Maintains and communicates updates to company websites to the web developer.
  • Promotes services by distributing and maintaining company advertising including newspapers, radio spots, newsletters, annual meeting reports, billboards, and school and community advertising.
  • Monitor active social media marketing activities.
  • Assist with compiling information for marketing/sales reports as required
  • Assists with identification of potential customers.
  • Provides employee education regarding promotions/bundles and provides employees with promotional materials as needed.
  • Maintains current industry knowledge regarding news, trends, products, services, competitor pricing, and other relevant developments in the industry.
  • Performs job duties for WK&T and other company owned entities.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity and comfort with social platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
  • Knowledge of Marketing principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of up-to-date technologies and ability to apply technology to marketing principles.
  • Knowledge of Power Point, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Skill in operating various office equipment such as personal computer, fax, telephone systems, and various software programs and tools including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Skill in report writing including spreadsheets with marketing analysis and results.
  • Exceptional skills in oral and written communication.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business is preferred. Absent a Marketing or Business degree, must have a minimum of five (5) years Marketing or Sales related experience.

Direct Sales Rep

West Kentucky and Tennessee Telecommunications Cooperative (WK&T) seeks a motivated Direct Sales Representative.

The successful candidate will be a proven professional capable of growing the company’s core products and enhancing WK&T’s image. A willingness to organize local events and attend activities sponsored by groups such as civic organizations is required.

AutoCad/ESRI Engineering Intern

Position Title:  AutoCad/ESRI Engineering Intern
Department:   Engineering
Reports To:     Plant & Engineering Manager
FLSA Status:    Non-Exempt

General Summary:                                                                                                           

AutoCAD/ESRI Interns are responsible for performing computer-aided drafting and design responsibilities. Job functions requiring intermediate knowledge and use of other electronic applications, standards and document control processes/procedures in support of creating and modifying deliverables. This position is for Telecommunications support involving re-creation of existing plant structure plans, development of plant drawings, and the creation of Fiber Optic build modification drawings. New template designs will be necessary when new projects arise.  Assist engineering staff with other plant location needs.   

Essential Job Functions:

Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to telecommunications, commercial, residential, and light industrial applications

  • Ensure that deliverables are accurate and presentable.
  • Provide support for design engineers, project managers, and other technicians.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.*

Accounting Intern

Position Title:  Accounting Intern
Department:   Business Office
Reports To:     Accounting Manager
FLSA Status:   Non-Exempt

General Summary:                                                                                                            

Our Accounting Interns assist the accounting department with an array of tasks that offer valuable on the job training and experience. Interns help with everything from payroll processing to account reconciliation. Our interns will leave the program with firsthand knowledge of how an accounting department is run and a leg up in starting their accounting career.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting team (e.g. filing, generating reports).
  • Assist with analyzing general ledger accounts and balance sheets.
  • Assist with payroll processing and processing check requests.
  • Help manage accounts payable.
  • Help with quarterly and/or annual audits.
  • Prepare bank deposits.
  • Create expense reports.
  • Enter financial transactions into the company database.
  • Review spreadsheets and reports for inaccuracies.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.*
